Phillip I have never personally done that swap but I think it should work. The 4 bolt mounting pattern for the backing plates is the same on the dodge 70 and 80 so that should work, and I am fairly certain the wheel bearings are the same size as well so the hubs should fit fine. The only issue I could see would be if the flanges for the backing plates are welded on in a diffrent position causing the rotor to not line up with the caliper.

Thanks KTA.

That answered a couple of items I wasn't sure on. The axle spindle, bearings and hubs. The 4 bolt flange I wasn't to worried about. I can mfg those if needed.

I can verify this from personal experience-

The Dodge 70 and 80 have the same bearings, seals, etc on the wheels.
The Dodge 80 in Rumblefish's Dodge D80 have 37spline shafts (from a 99 Dodge).
Track and spring perches are the same width from DRW p/u 70 and 80.
Dodge D80 has 13x3.5 brakes, vs 12x3 for D70.

All Dodge 80's are 1.5" 35 spline to my knowledge. I have had nearly every year and version disk and drum apart and have never seen the 1.62" 37 splines in one stock.
