You can get plenty of 1 1/4 dual disk clutches. We had dual disk clutches back in 1997 before there even were any big input shafts. LOL Van Haisley can tell you they have never had a stock input shaft broke sled pulling, it is always on the street where they meet their demise. When you are playing in the dirt you have alot more give between the tires and the ground than on the road, its those sidestepped burnouts that kill the input shafts. As for gear engagment teeth i assume you are talking about the syncros in the trans, they arent really that much smaller if any than a 4500, actually 1st and 2nd are alot bigger syncro in the rag than the 4500. I do have a NV4500 with the cast tailhousing in the 93 in my sig. The smaller gap in the 2-3 shift is alot better in the 4500 than the getrag.
