bgilbert 556hp dyno at Scheid Diesel event 2009

Sorry for the poor quality. I've got another video from a different angle that I'll get posted in a few days.

I'm gonna remove my balancer, completely clean it, paint it, then maybe I'll get a good torque reading. The rpm pickup bounces around so much to get a good reading. At one point on the graph where it read torque/rpm, it was at 1008ftlb's, after peak torque was already made. Listen close at the 23 second mark for the engine to rev up where it went through the South Bend FE clutch. I guess it doesn't hold 1200-1300ftlbs of torque  . The HP on the graph was well on it's way to more than 556hp, then it dropped from that point. Oh well, time for an upgrade.

This thread is useless without a dyno graph. LOL Congrats on the good numbers and sorry to hear about the clutch. What about Josh Ayers? I have been giving him pointers all week and wondered how he did. I wish I could have been up there but am stuck working since it is one of the other guys anniverseries.

Thanks guys. I'll have the dyno graph up tomorrow. I didn't see Josh's dyno run but he did 516hp. From what I understand it didn't want to spool very soon in the power band. Still was making 80psi of boost though  . We shared a few tips too.

Air Fuel Control! Next will be a clutch then more AFC! I guess I should start listening to kta. He wasn't kidding about ditching the ground afc lever and replacing it with a stock unit. I took his advise but me being me, just had to grind some off of it. Next time it will have a untouched stock afc lever.

I think about every first gen is tuned way too fat on the bottom end. I can flat foot the twins and it will still spool with in 60ft. Why waste a bunch of fuel on the bottom when we are so limited on the top end.

AWESOME JOB BILL, GLAD TO SEE THE NUMBERS GOING BACK UP!!!!!
WHAT TWINS DO YOU HAVE ON THAT THING NOW?
