Lee County IL Pulls

Postby oldestof11 » Sun May 20, 2007 4:50 pm

Anyone on here going to the Lee County 4H Fair pulls? 3 mile from me. I have the info from last year.

Dates: July 26 and the 27th. Tractors the 26th and trucks the 27th

Diesel 4x4= Weight to Be Announced, $180 1st, $155 2nd, $130 3rd, $100 4th, $90 5th, $80 6th, $65 7th.

$20 entry fee. Additional $20 for pit passes. Illinois State Puller rules apply.

Diesel Stock 4x4 Rules:
1. Weight will be announced at Pull
2. Truck must be street legal, licensed and insured.
3. Must have stock fuel system.
4. Must have cast iron engine block and heads, headers and aluminum intakes allowed. Must have closed exhaust system.
5. Must have stock suspension, blocked axles allowed.
6. High point of hitch can not exceed 26 inches.
7. No hanging front end weight. Weights must be in the bed of the truck or tightly secured.
8. Must have D.O.T. tires, no cut tires or duals.
9. No Nitrous Oxide. No propane.
10. Seal belts are required and must be worn during pull. NO RIDERS.
11. Drivers must be 16 years old. 16 and 17 year olds must have signed parental consent.

Might be more this year in premiums. Only 1 class for diesels, and if memory serves me correctly, there were about a dozen diesel. The ones that one last year had chips. I will be going. Great if we all showed up and had a cook out or something.

I will post more when I get some more info.

Dixon area. Lee county is probably 1 1/2 hours north of Bloomington. The pulls are on Route 30. Here is a map: http://maps.google.com/maps?um=1&tab=wl&client=firefox-a&hl=en&hs=alu&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&q=Lee+County+Il+Map
1/2 mile east of the Route 52/30 Junction.

Since you won't have to pull against any Duramaxes you might have a chance.

I'll have to see how things work out, but I may be able to make it.

I would pull...... if I had a locker... and some decent u-joints... and a built auto... and some money to replace broken parts...  I guess I'll have to settle for watching for now.

Since it is only 3 miles from me, If I break down I could get the tractor and have it pull me home....After it goes through the pulls! Antique tractors are the BOMB!
