285.44 HP

Postby TWorline » Mon Jun 04, 2007 7:11 pm

Well I finally got my truck on the dyno at Indy! It posted a best HP of 285.44 on water/meth & 261.87 on fuel only. They were not able to get a torque number because the rpm was not read, they are going to compute the torque numbers and send them to me. On the chart it looks like peak HP came in at about 76 MPH and stayed there pretty well out to 107 MPH where he lifted. The chart does look cool with the torque flat lined @ 1500 though   It was good seeing some of our members there at Indy. Hey Bill, I broke a seat bolt on that 2 to 3 shift  did it sound like 3600 rpm?

If you run on Dunbar's dyno again, tell him you want RPM on the bottom, not speed. He started to print mine out with speed, and I said whoa! This way you can see at what rpm you defuel. He ran mine up to 3800rpm, so I'm sure that's a little above 100mph;) .

Tim is your truck a stick or auto? Get a bigger set of injectors and of course a s300 type charger and you'll be up there.

Ok, I will do that at Terre Haute in August. Good talking to you at Indy.

Wow Bill I am flattered! I did those two powershifts in the parking lot and it was so quick you thought it was an auto 8) Yes I am with you on the injectors and turbo, 375-400 RWHP should be about right for the street. Mike got back with me and said the best they could come up with was 612 TQ. does that sound about right?

I would think the torque sounds a little low, but hey, I've never been on a dyno yet :o Was thinking somewhere around 700ish with the water/meth would accomodate that horsepower. Especially with a quick spooling turbo.
