The only thing that will help is low low gears. 7.17's and a double 203 205 ultra low transfer case. You can't use lock up while doing your pulling so that won't help. I would also stay with the loose converter for more control of traction. Heat is the enemy but you need to control tire slip so your conv is going to get hot. Its just the way it is. Put in a bunch of coolers or even a ice box cooler. Look in to some oil to water coolers like what is used in marine trannys. Same thing as the stock cooler under the turbo but can be much bigger.
