Bill

The rear barrells are coming in way to slow. Replace the secondary spring to at least a #2. You might even be able to use a #1.

Th engine didn't sound like it was laying down or anything. I think I got the jetting real close for what your doing with it.

Have you gotten a timing light on that engine yet??

I hooked it again last night and won by 20feet. :D Its kind of fun going 300+feet without the front wheels ever touching the ground. Sorry there are no videos though that I am aware of. I think a max wedge 440 with 2 650 holley 4bbls should wake that rig of yours up.

When the 360 in my '87 gave up after 300K I put in a 440 from a '77 Imperial and swapped the rear gears for 4:11's.
Yanking around my 18K 5th wheel the engine was REALLY working so I found a dual-quad manifold and a set of Thermoquads that were supposed to flow 780CFM - that seemed like a lot but they flowed good. I also put in a truck cam for a 440 - it was a '60something...
THAT woke up my truck - - It would rev to 5800 with the trailer attached - and quick....It would hit 5800 in 2nd - - -
ONCE only - with 40ft of RV behind you that's a THRILL I can do without again
