It seems really high for what mods you have. You have a stock turbo and lift pump!

Dyno runs are relatively short, I'm sure that power level couldnt be held for long. It would suck the filter dry. Not to mention the turbo is probably overspeeding considerably. I dont know the boost level as it lays the needle against the 0 peg (which should be 40psi) and holds it there. I twisted the transmission input shaft off at the drags today.

Yeah, Kennys Pulling Parts put together a fine piece. My stupidity broke the trans.

I went to scheids diesel. My truck would not shut off, so I had them make some upgrades since I took the trip.
I told them I want to max it out (and keep it looking stock) but be able to drive and tow with it.
So they "maxed out the pump" But what they did I have no clue.
I also had them put in the biggest injectors they had, a 14mm turbo housing, a larger exaust manifold, and give it a tune up (adjust the valves I think).
I put a K&N air filter in it.
I had them run it on their dyno when I picked it up.

280 rwhp, 1000 ft-lb torque, is governed at about 4,000 rpm, and makes about 38 lb of boost

I would like to see a dyno chart for it tho.

It has 4.10 gears, a 5 speed manual, on 10.50 x 33

Does any one know why I have a bunch of torque and not as much increase in HP?

I think the coolest thing is (that besides the smaller turbo housing and exaust manifold) it looks bone stock (and they look close).

Any other suggestions are welcome.

I would run it on another dyno before i took those numbers to the bank..

normally the torque is double the horse or there abouts....that is an extreemly big gap.

this is just my thinking. and nobody ever said i was the sharpest knife in the drawer.

That is what I thought.

Can any one else possibly explain my numbers?

With my stock turbo on old yellow on Scheids mustang I made 287rwhp and 1000ftlbs of torque. At that time they did not use an rpm pickup on the engine, and the ratios they had plugged in the computer were incorrect for my truck and thus it showed the power occuring at a lower rpm than it really was so therefore the torque values were to high. I am guessing the same thing probably happened with you.

So 1. I should probably get redynoed.
and 2. What do you think my numbers should be?
My truck is not lacking power that for sure, and the low gears are sweet.
Plus if I go with any more mods I am going to have to stud the block, and I dont want to get into that right now.

Why would you need to stud the block?

Well with all that pressure (the fuel and the 38 lbs of boost),
the motor can not take to much more.
Believe it or not.
When it was on the dyno and under full load
It actually started to leak a bit of anti-freeze by the head
Because the head was being pushed apart from the block.
So if I do any more modes I should probably stud it to hold
the head down better.
The good news is that as soon as they left off the leak stopped
And it has not been a problem.

There is no need to redyno unless you just want a number that you can brag about. The Hp number will be correct, only the torque number will be wrong.
