np 205 question

Postby dieselfreak21 » Sun Jul 22, 2007 9:41 am

Hey guys I've ran my truck at the track a few times but I've been to chicken to 4wd launch it because I'm not sure what the np205 does at high speeds. Have any of you guys ran the 1/4 in 4wd thanks for the feedback

Anybody know where to get a better output shaft for the 205? I know mine is only a matter of time before it goes pullin. I know Motive has one but I'm looking for something a little better.

I run mine in 4x4. Have had it to 94 mph with no ill effects. I have snapped off the input shaft on the 205, but that was a fluke I think. If I try to launch in 2 wheel drive I just sit there looking dumb in a cloud of smoke.

Ya, That was me. Didn't have one of the hubs locked in all the way. Just sat there smoking the tires for a while. 1/4 mile time wasn't very good either.
