I ran a Con FE in my last 01 and it did great. Backing up a trailer was a bit tricky but once i figured it out it did fine.

I meant she could probably give you a 10" extension or something.

This is the clutch I have in my truck. http://www.engineered-diesel.com/nmu70279-04/ It pays to shop around too, this is $100 cheaper than 3 other sites I looked on. I only paid $400 for mine, so prices have jumped up some.
I put in the NV5600 flywheel my buddy gave me, then Valair put a Getrag hub in the clutch for me. They can do all sorts of things, best bet is to call them direct and tell them what you are doing, and they can recommend something. South Bend is the same way.

I am giving Lincoln Clutch and Brake a call tomorrow about building me a clutch. Andrew has once of theirs in his puller and likes it.

14 and 15 1/2" diameter, for class 8 trucks. Twin disc.

NEVER had to adjust the clutch in my KW, before it got replaced. Finally blew the hub out of the clutch disc. Flywheel and PP looked like new. :D Had the flywheel touched up anyhow. Think the one they put in it, has a lower clamping load, though. Have felt it slip a tiny bit cold a few times. Barely touched the throttle and was empty at the time as well.

i was choosing between the one you have listed and this one:
http://www.dieselpowerproducts.com/p-54 ... 400hp.aspx

i went with the valair because it was $75 cheaper. i like it a lot. its a bit more grabby than i thought it would be, second gear starts are pretty rough unless you give it a few more rpms to smooth it out. might have something to do with my motor mounts, although my trans mounts are brand new

Just got off the phone with Mr Kenny himself,we discussed a 12" clutch for the nv4500 being mated to my flywheel after the outer lip is machined off. Friction material is kevlar and ceramic mix.

What's y'all idea on this. As Jon expressed earlier, most folks agree......run from it,problem is he was certain it would hold.

The big question is, What are you going to do with it? Sled pull? Tow trailer? Drag race? Daily driver? Kennys sounds about like mine. I'm not totally happy with mine, it's a bitch backing up a trailer. It grabs and jumps and jerks stuff around. I saw in that link I posted it says, "No Towing!", that wasn't there when I got mine! For a DD and racing mine is great, but if you plan on towing, you need something else for sure.
I've heard good things about Kennys too. Call SB and Valair and talk to them too. Peter at SB is great to deal with, if I had the extra money I'd have gotten one from him, but his was $3-400 more, and I was broke.

One of the reasons I have a 4wd truck. LOW RANGE! :D No jerky, jerky. ;) Only jerkin goin on around here would be polishing my knob. ;)
