Shift Kit

Postby CaseyF » Sun Mar 13, 2011 11:30 pm

I was looking at the shift kits on summit racing's website and ran across an all manual shift kit. How exactly do these work? Do you just shift it on the column or set the shift points where you want them?

Manual VB is exactly that. You install that kit you shift every gear. If you do that I recommend a floor shifter.

X2 on the floor shifter. There's nothing like getting into reverse at 50

I personally like the ratcheting shifters and a reverse pattern manual VB.

Some people like them and some don't. I think they are fun myself in all the gassers I've drove with them.

I've always wanted to swap a 5 speed in, so this would be the closest thing until then.

really dont know i can do the 727 not a problem. if worse comes to worse i will do the lower part just like the 727 and try it. od is electric anyway. i will probably put the stock one in and make sure it works ok then modify the 3 speed part and see if it works. i have a shop so i can try it on a lift. i would pay 500 for the 518 but 900 to this old man is uncalled for.
