Just like anything else, you can get billet flex plates sprinkled with pixie dust for big name companies for a couple hundred bucks. I gotta believe with a resonable amount of power and no blatant abuse of the truck, a stock 2nd flex plate should be fine. After all, they're designed to handle lock-up

I think I saw that Cummins has the flexplates for $100 or so. At least a few years back, anyway. If you can't find one for a decent price, I have two left over from auto to manual conversions. Both in good shape, though I can't guarantee how long it'd be before you pull it again.

The 2nd gen one i got off of a 94 was the exact same thickness as the stock one i riped the guts
out of on my 93.

i keep hearing that one from a 6.7 is alot thicker and is a direct bolt on, ( notice i said keep hearing) not
actually knowing for shure.
