Alright everybody; when installing auxillary ATF hose, don't use heater hose because the ATF will eat the heater hose...

Aw crap...

Just enough power to break everything behind the crankshaft.

Wow, you noticed it that quickly? It usually takes a month or so for the oil to eat the hose up good.

The purple-coffee colored ATF kind of gave it away after 30 miles...

So I flushed all the fluid out and now there seems to be a whine which I haven't had previously.

There was also quite a bit of aluminum particles in the tranny pan.

Did you stop when you saw oil? Or did you stop when it quit moving? It's not unusual to have a little metal in the pan. If you ran it out, you probably did hurt something. If not, run it! Maybe change the oil, or at least the filter, in a month or so. Check for more metal.

Huh?

I changed the filter and flushed the ATF out after I realized that I used the wrong hose. Thats when I noticed the metal flakes.

I was going to install my valve body this weekend, but I figure I should give my tranny another week now, in case I messed anything up with the rubberized fluid I don't want to blame on the valve body install.

Aluminum specks typically point to planataries and torque convertor?
