i have a clunk on shutoff (manual trans) that is the tcase shifter tapping the body where it comes through the floor. only happens when the motor and trans rock really hard as its shutting down. just an idea

My exhaust smacking the frame makes a niced clunk on shut down. It kind of sounds like it's comming from the front of the "bellhousing"

Probably exhaust. I'm haning a 4" right now. Have the down pipe and second section. I stopped with install cuz I know I need engine and trans mounts also looking at clamps and resonator fron fte diesel. Then I wont destroy the pipe If I need to remove later. Ill have to have someone shut it down whiile I look around. Just was hoping it wasnt something with the shift kit install. Thanks

It was the exhaust. After I hung the rest of it, no more banging on trans xmember.

Well, I got the 3200 spring in. Before I did notice an elongated period of time(rpms) between shifts and then a semi harsh shove. After the spring, adjusting the power screw, rotating and dropping the fuel cone and having to turn down the idle truck shifts smooth. I have longer than I want between 3 and od, but I can adjust the tps and tweek that. My issue is a faster shift from 1st to 2nd and 3rd. 1st to second not so bad, but it will quickly shift into 3rd at like 7-10mph, just coasting. I didnt do that before these changes.

Any ideas? Maybe my throttle shaft adjustment to compensate for the high idle is pre loading something in trans. I need to decrease the voltage at the tps cuz it takes too long to go into od, but that shouldnt have affected the other gears.

adjust your tv cable, that should take care of it...When you adjusted your idle down you moved the lever from where it was orginally so it takes longer for the tv cable to move. tighten it up and you should be good.
