Pete, you have one of the tightest, smoothest Getrags I have driven in a while. Guess I should step up and pay a little more than $800 for a truck, huh?
If it has done it all along, many years and miles, I wouldnt worry too much- just keep the revs up when hitting it hard. If it is something new, I'd worry. Mine complains at anything below 1500 in 4th and 5th, so I dont romp on it at those RPMs.
If you havent reinstalled it, take the mainshaft out and check your pocket bearing. It will tell you a lot about the condition of your transmission, as it is normally the first to show any wear or give signs of trouble.
