There are a few who have done the 5600, I wouldn't mind seening a late model (cause there is two) g56 with the higher 6th gear

Philip has a G56 (not sure which one), TXS has a NV5600, and BSchwarzli has a NV5600. Philip and BSchwarzli have write ups on CF...

I am sure that there are more guys out there that have done the conversions. Both write ups are well documented, pictures and what not detailing the swaps...

I want to say Philip has the 5.9L "less" desirable G56 that has a shorter O/D gear, but he has 3.07s. He'd have to tell you for sure. He's inspired me enough to have a G56 pipe dream. One day...

Hansen01 has an NV5600

I would really like to find out what rpm's a 6 speed converted truck with 3.07's would be at while driving 55mph. I am looking at a 3.07 equipped truck, not sure if I want a G56/NV5600 or go with a 47RH just for sh!ts and kicks...

Nothin beats a built auto, I've destroyed three 5600's and a friend of mine has destroyed multiple g56's including a "gorilla 56" course that's with 800+ hp CR's but hindsight yeah 47rh woulda been more fun

According to this little fellow a 3.07 truck with the early G56 and 265/75/16 tires will be turning 1400rpm at 55, and 1800 at 70.

I want a 6-speed...

I did not like the 47RH and 3.07s. If I ever change drivelines again, I'll either re-gear and install a 47RH or go with a G56. A G56 looks better at the moment

Got a link to Philip's writeup over there? I've been reading through Bswa-'s writeup (very nicely done), but I'm more interested in the G56 as well since everyone hates them. I don't see a 1stgen busting one up.

It's not a step by step, but all the info is in there, just need to weed through it... ;)

Ha! I was so distracted by Rocko's Modern Life that I didn't realize a senorita was a chick. I'll edit that. :D

Rocko's!? The woman and I were just talking about that, it was her favorite cartoon when she was younger...

Oh yeah, it's on Netflix so I was watching an episode while I waited for Hineman to sputter out a reply in my thread. it was always my favorite show as well when I was younger, until Invader Zim showed up. I seem to really like kids shows that have a cynical outlook on society.
