the kickdown lever needs to go towards the rear of the vehicle, that is wide open throttle position. 150## maximum, 1600# must be misprint. I wouldn't go that high in a daily driver. harder on the seal rings.
93 w250 6 speed 4" exhaust, caution, work truck, she's no beauty. building 1 ton dually 4x4, dana 80, 48rh, 205 Scratch the one ton, bought frt. dually 4x4 98 12 valve with the tiny rear doors. rides so much better than the 93.

If I was going to rebuild my 518, I would upgrade it to at least a 47rh to get a lock up convertor. I currently have a 518 in my crew that has a "diesel" convertor that feels really tight when you are trying to sit at a stop light and feels really good until about 40 mph. After that it feels like I can drive through the convetor at will.

Take everything I say with a grain of salt. I use my pickups to pull heavy loads, and prefer rowing my own gears. The 518 will not stay forever in my crew.
