Look and see if it runs up and down in its bore. I've patched up a few and had my personal one apart, all spun in the bore.

well it dont have up and down play i find some stuff to hold the race in place hope for the best. and question ellis93 wend i put 5th/rev syco hub on which way it goes u said deep side to rev isthat the side that has the dips in it that looks like it lets oil to the needle bearings? i try but ways and i cant get it back up there to put the snap ring that holds the hub on

Looking over my posts in my rebuild, that's the way it goes. If your having issues with the stack up of the gears not allowing room for the snap ring then take it back down and look closely for something not seated.

It's been thought of many times. The thing that stops everyone is the fact that the outer diameter is too thin to hold a race in. If you had a shaft custom made with a thicker outside diameter to hold the race it would work. It's a great idea too, if the bearing goes bad, you can replace the race and not the shaft like we do now.
