2nd Gen Starter with single battery on 47rh conversion.

For those that have done the swap, did you keep a single battery and use the 2nd gen starter? Seems like yes, but I also until recently assumed that first gens all had dual batteries... so there's assumption for you.

I never had an issue with the starter. The VE trucks fire up so quick, I think they're pretty easy on starters. You have 1/3 less clyinders too, correct?

Yes. Well that's good to know. Man, I've learned a lot in the past week even though I've been putting this together for about 3 years.

I guess the whole dual battery operation was so firmly ingrained in my brain that finding out the contrary, at least on 1st gens, has lead to new ideas, ahahaha

I've been running one battery on my second gen for over a year now with no issues

My single battery is in the rear of the box works just fine
92 Cummins: DD, basic mods, topper, 9'2" bossV
92 Cummins: 10' tall, Rockwells and r1's "Dirty Addiction",
83 RC/SB Cummins: engine set back 18", block 89w/h20 after cooler, fire ringed and worked head, studs, billet 64/68/14w/race cover, custom header, bigger sticks, 47rh, dana 60, four wheel disk, and big Mickey Thompsons w/ Weld drag lites. "The Mustard Bucket"
