Postby bigpapad150 » Sun Feb 17, 2013 10:41 am

How do you tell ???

When i get on the expressway I can't get over 55 miles an hour.

My truck starts drinking gas.

I think my transmission has O/D.( not working ???)

OR
Is it the rear end ??????

Give us specs on the truck. Engine, transmission, tire size and gear ratio if you know it along with rpm at certain speed.

Could be a fueling problem, or a fan clutch that is stuck on as well. Need more info. could be anything at this point.

If its a gasser, are the nuts for the carb tight? BTDT on an old Mazda B2000. Every time the screw came loose, no power!

Well that explains it! If it had a Cummins it would go like hell! ;)

Just enough power to break everything behind the crankshaft.
