Looking for options on them, who's got them where. Sticking with a single disc in conversation if we could. I'm not gonna deal with a huge amount of pedal pressure

I've got a 500horse single from south bend and its held probably 6 pulls and just barely smelt after the last one. I think its pretty smooth yet still locks nice

My inner cheap a$$ is flaring up after checking those out......they'd better be shifting my rag for me for that kind of money. I even looked at so valiar (sp) clutches and I didn't realize they where as high as they are.
I think I'm gonna pull mine out and have it reworked. It's already got the ceramic button disc in it so my pressure plate has got to be weak
Reckon I'll start the phone calls  burn up the lines till I find a place to do like I want 8)

You ain't kidding....iirc those start out at like 1200 or so.....crazy. I can buy an E-Z pedal for 500$ for a semi  but these truck command 1k plus in price for the same design. I smell bullschit!

There in lies the problem. People want to make a 13" clutch hold semi-like power. I don't know how big a semi clutch is, but I bet it's bigger than 13"

Typically, 13" and bigger. The biggest problem of adapting them to our trucks is input size and spline count. They can also get away with slightly less material and more clamping force as they are typically only used to get the truck rolling. If they had to hit the clutch every time, with less gear spacing, then I can see clutches being a big issue.

IMHO, if you are doing a lot of towing, I will quote Jason Sands (jqmile). "Medium duty torque requires medium duty transmissions."

Caleb, it lasted a month, quit picking on him!

Ellis, I have the Valair 650 hp one. It's too grabby for towing. I never gave that a thought when I got it, I just wanted a clutch I wasn't going to burn up with my target horsepower. Forward isn't too bad, but backing up sucks ass!
