They all say that. ;)

Have you checked out Specrite? http://www.specriteconverters.com/

Folks speak highly of them if you're on a budget and need your basic custom (tightened) converter.

I run a Specrite steel stator. They gave me a price of $900 when I called them. I thought that was a little much. Now when I had my 727 trans built a year later they had a Specrite steel stator converter installed while they were at it. Imjust came across the build sheet no too long ago and the quote for the converter was $500. I ask them why was it so cheap? They said they get good deals through them. I guess so!!!

I'd call Goerend, Specrite, and suncoast. Tell all of them what your looking for in a converter, and ask them as many questions as possible. The converter in your truck is a major key in how it performs. And is not something to just rush into, or skimp on.

Good advice there!

Having one too tight, can make it harder to light a bigger charger. IIRC, Goerend has 2 basic stall speeds to choose from, but they can mill ANY stall speed you want/need. All done in house. The machine is pretty sweet to watch work. :D Dave makes a great trans! :D Loved mine! :D
