I'm lookin at doin the Nv 4500 into my 92 surfing the aa adapter kit an it's saying you have to trim the input shaft 3/8 of an inch and was wondering if this needs to b done or can u get away with out doin it

When I converted my 91, I used all 2nd gen parts, no trimming inputs and what not. I did use the AA transfer case shifter bracket though...
