Best Clutch

Postby Underpsi » Wed Nov 14, 2007 8:23 pm

Whats the best clutch to use for the street maybe a bit of drag and only a toy not daily driver? Will a DD work with the getrag cuz don't you need to upgrade the input shaft or something? Will the best single hold up to third gear launches?

you just need a heavy dudty single cltch, if you wait till its fully ingaged like in the rase cars then you shouldn't ever have a problem, its when its not ingaged and you steped on it that it makes it slip, you should get a southbend clutch it will be good
hey what you bin up to you guys haulin lots this week

Call Peter at South Bend Clutch. Tell him what you have and what you are doing, he'll tell you what you need. His clutches are expensive, but you are paying for knowledge and customer service that is beyond compare.

You shouldn't have any problems getting that to hold. Getting it to fit might be though. Be shure its made for the right sized input shaft.

i had the local clutch shop build me a dual disk its rally meant for pullin. the only bad drivabilty part is that at low rpm its either in or out there is no inbetween. but there is absolutely no slipping when on the go pedal like my old single disk.
