What is a good dual disk?

Postby 1stgenjb » Thu Oct 24, 2013 9:22 pm

Hi there I am new to the forum. I have a 91 dodge with a nv4500 in it and I have seemed to have ruined my southbend single disk(won't disengage, long story). I just am curious on your all thoughts on which dual disk is best for daily driving but can stand up to some abuse like slipping it every now and then. Southbend, Valair, Kenny's Clutch?? I wouldn't mind if it was a little grabby. I appreciate any input. Thanks

Southbend seems to be more streetable and have better manners. Valair acts like a more performance oriented clutch.

I run a valair dd ceramic/ceramic and it's not bad daily driving.

I run the valair organic DD, works well for daily driving and towing but it doesn't slip much.

Okay thanks guys. I talked to a few people today and I'm pretty sure that I'm going with a ceramic dual disk. Now I just got to talk to southbend and see if they will cut me a good price since my single disk went out so soon.
