I normally run regular old gear oil. 75w-90 or something like that, I forget...

But, now I run the nv4500 stuff...just in case they swap fluid, my nv won't be getting regular gear oil.

The nv4500 requires a special synthetic fluid, I forget what it's called...but it's about 20 bucks a quart at the dealership.

NV4500's take four or so...I was told to overfill it just like the Getrags, I've been running five quarts of Redline in mine since this spring, seems to do well. I have just generic 80w90 in the 205 as of now, but when I do change the lube in the NV, I will do what RC is doing, using the same lube for both the NV and the 205. I got twelve, one quart jugs at work of the GM NV stuff, they haven't used it in years and were going to dump it...I'm gonna run it for a while when I cange the fluids next spring.

I think the NV has a tag on the side that says (syntorque) or something like that.

and for some reason my brain thinks castrol makes it.
