the cheapest place i could find for all transmission parts

a company called transtar, their web address is www.transtar1.com. you have to call them directly to order parts but they have everything you need, and you kinda need to know what parts youre looking for, or even have the part numbers. theyre not techs, theyre sales people. but for their prices its worth it to have to do some homework on what youre looking for. i talked to pete, hes hilarious, and very easy going. the number i called was 800.245.9754.

i was planning to buy all my parts from PATC, because they had the best selection and prices i could find on the web stores i shopped, but then i met this guy at the tranny shop here in town and he sent me to pete. so i was looking at a 265 dollar order with PATC that i got for 175 from transtar .

i dont know that i would buy things that might have to be warrantied because it might be a pain to have to ship it somewhere. but then again i havent had to cross that road. so i suppose its a question worth asking.

just thought id pass this along

Trans star supplies some of PATC's parts. Like you said, if you know exactly what you want, by all means shop around.

I'm not saying they'd be the same for just anybody, but IF I have to warranty something (highly unlikely on anything but a converter or electrical component) they take care of shipping either way.

I've had no bad dealings with them

That's where I plan to get my parts from. I have a local distributer in Cincy I can deal with directly.
