any ideas??? I'm thinking about doing this to my cousins 98 12v cummins. I'm going to put a manual shift kit in it. I've glanced through the flow chart alittle but my main computer crashed a while ago and it has the colored ondemand version I had and the college changed the password on me last year, (I haven't been in college since may 08) lol.

Wouldn't be simple, the supply for the lockup control circuit comes off the 2-3 shift valve, that's why 518, 47rh and 47re only lockup in direct and overdrive. The 48 re will lockup in the lower gears, and the vb parts will retrofit to 47s according to one of the fliers I was reading in a tranny shop, not sure about 518s.
93 w250 6 speed 4" exhaust, caution, work truck, she's no beauty. building 1 ton dually 4x4, dana 80, 48rh, 205 Scratch the one ton, bought frt. dually 4x4 98 12 valve with the tiny rear doors. rides so much better than the 93.

so you'd be better off running a 48re valvebody\parts? if you can.
