Pros and Cons of SB dual disk??

Postby 89dudney » Wed May 21, 2014 6:56 am

I would like to replace the clutch in my truck soonish. It still has the G360 and I wasnt sure if there were many options for dual disk clutches to go in front of it. I have heard good things about twin disks as my uncle has one in his 2nd gen. I didnt know if anyone has put one in front of a getrag or not. Thanks.

I run a Valair dual disc organic faces with my getrag. Works great for pulling, a little slower shifting so you cant drive it like a race car as so many want to do.

I have pulled 12k behind me pedal to the floor (40psi boost) and shifting as fast and hard as i can and have never slipped this clutch.

Daniel, read this. You might not NEED a dual disk. You can always upgrade later ;)

Ive actually been thinking about going with a 47rh......I know I know, autotragic. But I want a fast, high performance truck thatll keep up with anything, speed and performance wise, not exactly handling.

I towed in the mid 20s with a stock ckutch many years ago. Of course, it was a nearly stock truck, on the long rolling hills of Ks and CO.
