NV4500 rebuild

Postby oldestof11 » Sat Dec 01, 2007 11:02 am

How hard is it for the average joe to rebuild the NV4500? I have a lead on one for about $200 with 3rd gear supposedly shot. Also, what transfer came behind a 12v 2nd gen with the NV4500?

Where do I get the parts to rebuild it cheap?:;-|:

On the side not, I got a little 1997 Saturn SC. I have had problem with it and was going to take it back to the dealer (I paid cash) but then the Suburban threw the timing chain on the way home. A couple of valves smacked some piston on the driver side. And when it did it, it back fired so much it blew the muffler in half :thatsucks: :violin: :bh: So I now have a project. A CTD 4x4 1500 Burb. This is brought to you buy:

93 Club Cab CTD 4x4 Wreckers
87 Suburban 350 TBI 2wd Dynamite Company
96 2nd Gen tranny Chop Shop
Jon
93 D250~ Mismatch of cheap parts, trying to look fast going slow
