Dana 70/60 questions.

Postby Tacoclaw » Wed Aug 20, 2014 6:24 pm

I'm attempting to put together a "Bible" of Dana axle applications and info for our trucks.

I'll update it as I put info together, but first I have a few questions.

Wheel mounting surfaces, for SRW, DRW, and C&C. I don't know any of them and though an exhaustive search would probably answer at least one, I'm typing out a giant kcuf in Microsoft word. Please help.

Axle shaft lengths, SRW, DRW, C&C.

Like I said, I'll update with more questions and info as I go along.

What I've got so far, only 3.07 stuff. If anyone needs anything specific I can try to track it down on the Dana pages.

1990 is a cut off date for 35 spline rear axles as far as I've found, any axles after '90 will have 32 spline axles,
if you have evidence otherwise, please let me know and I'll update with BOMs and part numbers.

Anything in parentheses is a part number, enter/find on this PDF for full specs.

Then I'd have proof to tell Harry to Eat S**T that there is no such thing as a D71 lol...

There literally isn't, I can grab you a screenshot off the Dana page right now if you'd like. All 1stgen D70's, regardless of gear ratio, are considered "D70-U2"s.

Ha! You mean on FB?

Yeah, I meant to word it a little nicer but I got busy at work and just didn't have to time.
