Speedo is off (a lot!)

Postby Jelmer » Mon Jan 19, 2015 9:30 am

I have a problem with the speedo in my 93 D250. It reads way to much. When going 50mph (GPS) the speedo reads 80mph. I had the speedo rebuild, replaced the sensor and checked the wiring and everythings look fine. The truck has stock size tires and is a stick (Getrag)

Anyone has a sollution?

Either the ratio adapter on the trans is bad or not there at all. Ptac sales them.

I had the same issue with my 91,turns out the gears were swapped in the ratio adapter.I just took it apart and switched them side for side.
