727 mantenance

I have to do a rear main seal on my 89 D250. Since trans has to be detached I was wondering what all should be done to it. I plan on changing fluid and filter, adjust bands. Anything I missed?

Do the torque converter seal while you are there. Maybe pull the block adapter and check the soft plug behind the cam to see if it's seeping. If it's not leave it be and put it together.

Just enough power to break everything behind the crankshaft.
