No OD, wait to start + water in fuel lights on/flashing

Postby ofelas » Tue May 05, 2015 6:24 am

Hi,

Does this randomly. Grid heaters work as does the WIF sensor.

Overdrive off switch clicks & lights as usual, but no OD sometimes.

When this happens, the water in fuel & wait to start lamps light steadily & sometimes flash.

Its a 91.5 with no crank sensor or tach plug, and an ECM with an external regulator.

Truck doesn't have AC or cruise.

Thx!

Check fuses then the wires. All the lights on the message center are tied into a lot of other things and the factory splices are not very well done and could be rubbing on metal and grounding out. I found this out because I'm eliminating my ecm and everything it controls including message center

Hey bud thx went through all that.

Fried ECM - not repairable.

Running pin 55 & pin 4 to ground off the ECM plug temporarily for OD & speedo while I try to find a good 91.5 core.

If not, ECM delete it is!
