727 tailshaft bearing help

Postby panhead » Sat May 09, 2015 7:12 am

Hey all. Having a major issue locating a new tailshaft bearing for my 90 d250. All avenues I've explored locally, and on web have resulted in "no longer available". The bearing in question has a MRC 207sg13 part#. It's dimensions are. i.d. 31.43mm o.d. 72.06mm with a thickness of 17.0mm
In inches- 1.235 I.d. 2.836 o.d. 0.670 thickness. Anybody with any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Is this the bushing "inside" the tailshaft housing?

No. It is the roller ball bearing inside tailshaft housing. This is a bolt on yoke 727. No bushing. It seems as though I've ended up with a stepchild as far as the output shaft diam. The common would be 1.35ish". Chrysler vintage parts told me their last 1.23" was sold 3 yrs ago, and nobody has made a run of em since.

Check with ZBag in Minnesota, or Detroit Ball Bearing, the first company specializing in transmissions, tcase's and axles. The second company specializing in all sorts of bearings, especially odd ball, hard to find bearings.

Detroit Ball Bearing may have changed names to Applied Industrial Technologies.
Where in the U.P. You located? I'm an hour southwest of the Mackinaw Bridge

Bearing update. None found through exhaustive searching. Machined machined bushing to fit inner race of a 33 mm I.d. Bearing. Installed, buttoned up, and rolling.
