Does anybody sell replacement front driveshafts, or are they junkyard only nowadays?

NAPA sells a replacement.

But It has a smaller front u-joint than your stocker. It uses an adapter type u-joint. The caps for the axle yoke are bigger than the drive shaft caps are.

A friend of mine got one a few years ago. After about a month he ripped that smaller u-joint out.
