OEM Getrag 5 speed shifter assembly questions and needed

I am getting a first gen as a father and son project with my youngest and it has a newly rebuilt Getrag 5 speed manual transmission. Along the way, the 5 speed shifter lever and boot etc were lost and there is something less than attractive that has been fabbed up. Are there any second gen trucks that have that same shift lever assembly and were they the same between the different manual transmissions offered in the 12 valves (I believe an NV and the Getrag)?

Anyone happen to have a parts truck with an extra shifter assembly that would fit? Thanks in advance, Joe

If you have the screw on shift lever then one from a 2nd gen will work. I have one in mine from a gasser, it is about 3 inches shorter than the original so the throw is a little shorter. I had one from a Dakota, but it was a little too short, I had to lean over for 5th gear.

I think i have an oem boot if you cant find anything else to work
