Ground spool valve as part of a shift kit????

Here is a pic of it!

The bright part is were the valve has been ground on an angle.

Has any body installed a shift kit, that one of these valve came with the kit, or instructions told you to do this???

91.0 non intercooled 3/4 ton 5sd ex.straight piped 16cm housing, timing bumped 1/16...Pump . Full power screw1/2 max with out removing the collar. Gear Vender over drive!

Second from the bottom/right ~ http://hometown.aol.com/gnkim/transgo3.html

As shown, it's part of the TransGo TFOD/518 kit install. I did it as part of my heap's rebuild.
