It was mounted on the collars correctly. It's something with the top cover (bent shifter rail?)I messed around with it and put it back together and it works now. Definitely can feel the power difference between the 727 and the getrag and I now have two more gears and a working reverse.

That's the plan. Now my speedo is quite off. I wouldn't mind having my truck do 100+ in 4th gear but it's way off. I used the gear/speedo out of my 727 and put it in the getrag. Is this something I'll have to live with or can I get a different gear? I'm still running the 3.07 rear. I don't know why people say to change the rear. The truck really hauls now
