I need of getrag to np205 adapter

Hello i am new to the forum and hope that i am placing this thread in the right topic. I am currently building a 1979 dodge ramcharger with a 12v cummins, getrag g360 and np205. The donor truck that i have purchased is a 1992 d350 2wd, so i am in the process of converting the trans to 4wd and building a tcase. I have purchased the 4wd mainshaft and 4wd extension housing for the transmission, which brings me to the tcase. The case i have is a 10 spline Chevrolet np 205, i have sourced the input shaft, bearings, seals, and a machinist to bore the case to accept the larger bearing. What i am having trouble locating is the adapter that bolts to the 8 bolt racetrack pattern tcase and the 6 bolt circle pattern extension housing. My question is where should i be looking to get one of these, i have been searching ebay for about a month with no success.

Ok, here's the down and dirty version of it....

The 29 spline adapter or "bowl" that some of us call it is harder than hens teeth to find...on the other hand, the 23 spline adapter out of an auto truck is fairly plentiful. They are cast different where the seal sits, bit they can be machined out to accept a thinner, double lip seal. The original sealing surface on both is about 1/2" and after the machining is done, there will be 3/16" to 1/4" left, which will be enough to locktite a seal in place.

We (Bill and I) noticed that there are a little discrepancies with some of the measurements, so that link is just a "guide" so to say...

Thanks for the info i had done some reading on making the 23 spline adapter work and as always i was hoping to avoid taking another part to the machine shop. But, if that is the only choice i have its nice to know that it can be made to work. I suppose if anyone could point me in the right direction to find a 23 spline one id appreciate that as well i haven't had any luck finding one of those on ebay either.

try quad4x4.com. i got a 29 spline adapter from him a long time ago, he has lots of 205 stuff, but it will cost you. i might have a 23 spline adapter, i'll look tomorrow. i could not see that 29 spline seal ever going into that 23 spline adapter...

Hence the machining for the larger bearing, snap ring and seal...take the 23 spline adapter and make it into a 29 spline adapter.

didn't make it today, tomorrow for sure. 99% sure i have it, just a bit of treasure in the way...i had a hard time getting the right snap ring for the 29 spline input bearing, quad4x4
saved the day on that, as well.
