Ok, here's the down and dirty version of it....
The 29 spline adapter or "bowl" that some of us call it is harder than hens teeth to find...on the other hand, the 23 spline adapter out of an auto truck is fairly plentiful. They are cast different where the seal sits, bit they can be machined out to accept a thinner, double lip seal. The original sealing surface on both is about 1/2" and after the machining is done, there will be 3/16" to 1/4" left, which will be enough to locktite a seal in place.
