NP 205 yoke question

Postby Richie O » Wed Jul 20, 2016 5:50 pm

I was under the 92 checking for any issues. I noticed the rear yoke on the np does have a little movement. The shaft is tight on the yoke so I guess the movement is in a bearing. Its barely noticeable, yet can feel a little. Can I just re torque the nut to reload the bearing some?? Is that how the bearings are loaded? Truck is just under 190k miles, but hard miles :D

That is a roller bearing. You will not get all the movement out of it. If the movement isn't enough to wipe the seal out your good.
