Transmission cracked SITREP

Postby skylar827_7 » Tue Oct 11, 2016 7:27 am

Well after a long trip to Ohio I came back to Florida (couple gallons of atf 4 later) and found my transmission is cracked. I thought it was just the seal in the back of the trans when I was up there, because I saw the paper gasket leaking atf and the t case nuts were loose so I tightened it up again and cleaned it up really good, put some rtv on there for the time being. Well this weekend I was under there looking at stuff planning out, and I saw that the trans-tcase adapter is cracked. I guess it was from the nuts being loose.

The back of my mind is saying 47 swap. I don't know if I'm qualified enough to do it haven't read enough. so hopefully I can find the adapter in a junkyard nearby.
