48re anyone do this swap

Postby nova6511 » Sun Jul 16, 2017 5:28 pm

I bought an already built 04 48re with billet convertor already done. Has anyone here done a 48 swap, found plenty of 47 swaps. The transmission should be the same other then the valve body is that correct.

Pretty sure there are more differences than just the valve body, although no specifics are coming to mind. :/ It would have to be converted to hydraulic control somehow (probably a pita) or used with a standalone controller. I think there is a few controllers out there. Firepunk has a complete 48re swap for the new 6.7.
