Ratio adapter

Postby Jelmer » Wed Feb 14, 2018 12:59 am

Our 93 didn't come with a ratio adapter on it when we got it so the speedo is way off.
We ordered a ratio adapter from the Transmission centre but it doesn't fit because the crossmember is in the way.

This is how it looks:

But I think it should look like this one:

Can I turn one of the lids on the ratio adapter so that it is an offset piece and will it clear the crossmember like this?

I have never had one apart so can not say if there is a different orientation on the gearing inside if the top is switch positions. But worth a try since shipping on another piece is probably costly. ;)

You are talking 2wd here? If so, they don't need an external adapter. All you need to do is replace the driven gear in the side of the tail shaft. In the attached picture what you have is the one on the right.
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.
