any experience with gear vendors TH on NV4500 swap

Has anyone ever used a gear vendors tail housing to add gears to the NV4500 swap? I was just wondering on reliability and fuel mileage and if given the opportunity would you add one again.

The only experience I've had with them was on a second gen six speed 4x4. The guy kept having transmission leaks and other little issues. I think that was causes by the extra length and no added support.

I have read some things on other forums with this application but it doesnt seem like a popular addition in terms of bang for buck. I would assume the mileage and RPM would be a a big draw for folks and its not super expensive if its a safe upgrade for solving the weak 5th gear issue in the NV4500 but I am surprised that people dont really do this more if its as good as it describes leaving me a bit skeptical.
