3200 RPM SPRING

ON ANOTHER SITE I FOUND SOMETHING VERY INTERESTING BEING SAID AND THOUGTH I WOULD SHARE IT , ACCORDING TO ONE PERSON A 3200 SPRING WOULD HELP IN KEEPING YOURE GERTART FRON LAGGING IN BETWEN GEAR CHANGE DOES THE 3200 SPRING ALLOW YOU TO SPOOL FASTER ,INCREASE FUEL FLOW ,OR IS IT JUST A GOVERNOR SPRING FOR RPM TOP END , ALSO IS 5-30 W OK TO USE ON GERT'S ,NOW THAT SEEMS A LITTLE LIGHT FOR A TRANNY TO ME BUT , O WELL AFTER ALL MAYBE ALL THESE YEARS I HAD IT WRONG

i dout it will help with lag, it just lets your pump fuel longer

CK, he's an older gentleman, and slightly hard of hearing! ;) :lol:
The 3200 gives more flow across the board, higher rpms, and moves the power band up a little.
I'm running 15-40 motor oil in mine. Make sure you put 1 extra qt in it so it's overful. This helps the longevity.

The 5w-30 is the factory spec'd fill for the Getrag. Synthetic 5w-30 is better. The newer transmissions all use motor oil grade oil because the manufacturers are looking to reduce friction wherever they can to squeak out every last bit of fuel economy. As far as the governor spring, it lets you run each gear out further before shifting, thus keeping the rpm in a better range after shifting.
1992 W250, 300k, Getrag, BHAF, 4" exhaust, DDP fuel pin, Isspro gauges, +3 on the fuel screw, 3200rpm gov. spring, 16cm^2 housing
