Greetings.
I have an opportunity to pick up a cleanly rebuilt Getrag out of a 4X4. Can someone tell me what the differnce is to the 2WD versions?
Are they specific? Or, can you rob a front plate or cover and make the 4wd work in a 2wd?

The topshaft and tailhousing are diffrent between the 2, so it would be a lot of trouble to make a 4x4 a 2x4 or vice versa.
