will 97 auto bolt up to 92 motor

Ok got a 92 cummins d250 engine great, body not so good and got a chance to get 97 3500 4x4 dualy with a dead v10 could the cummins from the 92 bolt to the 97 tranny? basicly gona do a motor swap if it will bolt to the 3500 trans.

The V10 uses the same transmission bolt pattern so that isn't a problem. You will need the cummins to 47RE engine adapter.

I am not sure what else you will need to get the gages to work properly.

So is that plate the aluminum spacer that i have on my 06 bettween the trans and motor looks to be 2in thick.

you'll need the Diesel automatic wiring harness and computer, I found out.

And..97 engine mounts.


diesel radiotaor, a/c etc. tranny lines.. I used the V-10 stuff, but wished, I didn't. PIA to adapt.
