Ok sure this has been covered before but what are the weak points of the getrag? How much power will they handle?

The pocket bearing (on the front of the mainshaft) is the biggest weak point. Being lugged (run at high load at <1800rpm) and the factory oil fill level are the others. Keeping your RPMs up and overfilling it will go a long way to prolonging the life of your tranny.

KTA has put 650hp/ 1400tq through his Getrag and I think it has held. It's all in how it's applied, just like dodgetkboy78 said.
